January Traveling Update

Greetings! Hope everyone is having a great Friday evening! My guys and I are home just taking it easy. May sound boring to some, but believe me, after traveling so much this month you begin to be thankful for the little things ( your own bed, cooking supper, even some of the chores :) ).
Deputation for our church in New Mexico has gone well so far. The Lord has blessed us with a full month of meetings and we've been privileged to meet many sweet fellow Christians at each church we visit. Below are some of the highlights of this past month.

1) Counting Hubby's church planting conference in OK, we have been in 6 different states this month sharing our work and burden for New Mexico. The states have included AL, GA, SC, NC, FL, and OK. Clint has now been in 13 states since his birth. He's becoming quite the traveler! :)
2) God has kept us safe in all our travels and I guess the only "hardship" we've had this far was Clint getting sick with a fever/cold symptoms for a few days. None of the medications I had was helping him much, but a trip to the Dr. for some antibiotics cleared everything up in a heartbeat. Thank God! It's hard seeing your little one so sick! :(
3) On our recent trip to FL, Hubby drove us to see the Gulf of Mexico one afternoon. That was the first time Clint and I had seen it, but it was too cold and windy to stay very long. We did put our feet in the water just for fun and took several good pictures of Clint.

I reckon that's all for now! Hope everyone has a great weekend! Oh, I am now 16 weeks pregnant and we hope to find out if we're having a boy or girl in just 3 weeks.......sooooooo exciting! :)

My Late Christmas Gift

Several weeks ago I had picked out some fabric as my Christmas gift from Hubby. The plan was to recover our dining room chairs, but we got so busy traveling here and there that we just now took the time to do so. As you can see in the above pic, the old fabric did NOT match my orange walls at all.
Clint "helping" his daddy unscrew the seats.
Hubby stapling on the new fabric.
The finished product.......yes, it's cowhide, but it matches PERFECTLY. I love it!
The dining room as it is now.
Well, that was a lot of fun.......on to the next project! I received a Hobby Lobby gift card from my parents at Christmas and I plan on using it to spruce up the living room.

Greetings from NC!

Yes, I'm once again at my parents' house in NC. :) We came up here this past Saturday because we had 2 church meetings scheduled for the weekend and when they were over, Hubby dropped Clint and I off with my parents and he drove straight to Oklahoma for a church planting/missions conference. We are very thankful that the Lord provided us with a vehicle just in time for this venture. We were beginning to worry after dealing with a slooooooow bank and having to wait awhile for the insurance money to come in (we had tons of meetings scheduled and no way to get to them.) As usual, God provided right on time and we are having so much fun keeping a diary of the blessings we receive along our deputation trail. :) Hubby should be back early tomorrow morning and we will head out to another NC town later on that day to get ready for a couple more meetings on Sunday. Lord willing, we'll start for our home in GA sometime on Monday. Busy, busy, but I guess I need to get used to it, huh? :)
Hope ya'll are doing well and survived the big snow/ice storm earlier this week.......very pretty, but made DANGEROUS driving conditions.

New Year, New Destinations......

Some of ya'll know that my husband is a preacher and that it has been his desire for years to become a pastor or to start a church someday. After over a year of much prayer and research he's finally accepted God's leading to move out west to start a church in New Mexico. We will be VERY busy this year raising the funds to do so and we hope to make our move in the next year/year and a half. We're looking forward to this new phase of life and would once again appreciate your prayers.
Whew! Between this, our wreck, and new baby........I don't know how much more excitement I can take! :)

New Year, New Car......

We had a wreck while driving in the snow to spend New Year's week with my family. Thank God none of us were hurt ( including our unborn baby ) and we were just a few miles away from our destination. However, the car was totaled due to rolling several times down a 55 foot embankment, busting several windows, denting part of the roof, and bending in the rear. Cars CAN be replaced though, but people can't.
Please pray that we'll have wisdom in finding the right vehicle for us soon.

Happy 2011 to you all!
