Hooray for Spring!! :)

Spring is finally here and I'm so excited! Spring for me means clothes drying on the line outside, warmer weather, staying light outside longer, flip-flops, short sleeves, my birthday ( I'm getting sooooooo old! ), jelly beans, springtime Oreos,......how did I get started on food?? Oh, yeah.....I'm pregnant. :)
Nothing much new is going on around here. I did have my monthly baby check-up a few days ago and thank the Lord, everything still seems to be fine. Won't be long now and I'll be going every 2 weeks. :)
I did try a homemade dishwasher detergent recently, but I'm not sure if I'm totally happy about it. It tends to make my dishes cloudy. Has anyone else had that problem? The recipe I used called for 1 part Borax and 1 part washing soda. I've had streaky dishes before with name brand stuff from the store so what is the lesser of the 2 evils? Eating/drinking out of cloudy dishes from the store brand or from the stuff you make at home? *sigh* They both sound distasteful to me.
Speaking of recipes, I do have a pizza crust recipe that I'm quite happy with. "Happy" because this one actually rises for me. :) You can look it over to see if it's something that would be worth a try. (NOTE: I do make it with 3 1/4 C of white whole wheat flour instead of part wheat/part all-purpose. I also increase the salt to 2 tsp instead of 1 tsp ).
Clint and I also put up a bunch of organic carrots I got free the other day. I peeled, chopped, cooked, pureed, and froze them while he sat on the floor playing with the peelings. :) Some of them will be used for part of Clint's lunch and the rest for various recipes in the near future.
All for now! Need to hang a load of clothes on the line before it gets too late.

Weekly Family Update

It's seems like one post a week is all I'm giving you lately, but I guess it's better than nothing. :)
We're still staying busy traveling while on deputation and we currently have 8% of the funds raised for the ministry in New Mexico. God has continued to give us traveling mercies and has provided the funds for our every expense ( aren't these gas prices crazy? ). We hope to move out there sometime next summer.
I took Clint to his 12 month check-up today and he made it well known that he NO longer likes doctors. On top of that he had to have some blood work done. Poor kid! :( Never fear! He soon forgot all about it and was back to tearing the house up once we returned home. :)
On the way back from the Dr. I stopped in at Hobby Lobby to see if there was anything I wanted to spend my gift card on. My parents had given it to me at Christmas so yes, I can be slow when it comes to spending gift cards. :) Lo and behold, I did find a couple of western wall hangings for the living room and some western wall clings that were 80% off. I'll probably end up putting those in the boys' room and possibly in the hall bath. I love decorating!
I also stopped by Kroger and got the 30 items pictured below for tax ONLY. Can't beat that, aye?
I think that's about all the news for now..........our baby is due just 4 months from today. We're really looking forward to meeting the little guy! :)

Happy Birthday, Clint!!

Clint's birthday is just a few days away, but we went ahead and celebrated it early due to us being out of town on the day of.
We got a Build-a-Bear certificate over Christmas, but I just got around to taking Clint there here recently. He is pictured above with his doggie.......not really a birthday present, but I thought it was too cute to not share with ya'll. :)
